Rue de Vaugirard is the longest road in Paris, at 4.3 km. It spans the 6th and 15th arrondissements, from the Latin Quarter towards the edge of Paris at the Porte de Versailles. The road appeared in the fifteenth century, and led from Philip II’s city walls towards the village of Vaugirard. This route was itself based on an old Roman road.

The Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré  is cited as being one of the most fashionable streets in the world thanks to the presence of virtually every major global fashion house. At number 55 is the Élysée Palace, which houses the President of the Republic.

Rue de Miromesnil begins at rue du Faubourg-Saint-Honoré at the level of place Beauvau and ends at boulevard de Courcelles. Famous inhabitants: Élisa Bonaparte (in 1799), sister of Napoléon Ier (125 rue de Miromesnil), François-René de Chateaubriand (in 1804), écrivain et homme politique (31 rue de Miromesnil). In may 1932, the famous French novelist Colette opened a beauty institute at number 6 rue de Miromesnil.
